It was not to establish a religion, which is another beast system. He came to liberate His people from a political and religious system of lies and deception.
Matthew 1:21, "And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name Jesus. For he shall save his people from their sins." This clearly shows that Christ came to save his people from sin. His mission to bring spiritual liberation, truth, and reconciliation between God and humanity.
That was His mission, yet the Church exists to pass this truth from generation to generation
