this restructure is a way to trim the fat away, got nothing to do with 4DS.

Put it this way, the inference of this thread is that WD would restructure their entire company BEFORE making an offer on 4DS? It's ludicrous...

they were trying to merge with kioxia long before the megabit success announcement... So clearly their restrucutr plans are nothing to do with 4DS
