the prototype cell

Hi guys, Tock arrived back from his holidays!

I brought him up to date with developments over a glass of red last night.
And as usual, he amazes me with his insight.
The first thing he said was:

How can Rainbow produce the prototypes for BLG if the cell design is, as we all expected, based on, and relying on, the low temperature deposition offered by RPCVD?
    They don't have a tool.

Now why didn't we ask that question earlier, I thought.

So the possibilities seem to be:

    1) BLG's prototype is a triple junction InGaN cell but one that can be manufactured by traditional high temperature MOCVD techniques.

    2) The prototype is in fact a triple junction InGaN cell which does require low temperature manufacturing techniques as expected. This would mean that Rainbow will have to install the requiring RPCVD tooling in their factory. If so, under what sort of arrangement would this be, only time will tell

    3) The prototype is something other than a InGaN solar cell for concentrator applications, one for which MOCVD or some other traditional manufacturing methods are adequate.

    Any thoughts guys?

    Cheers
