In the last few years the investors need a lot of conviction with their investment. Conviction is an important tool of any long term investor, as conviction helps investors maintain a long-term perspective. Mesoblast has been volatile and unpredictable, but investors with conviction are less likely to be swayed by temporary market fluctuations and negative sentiment sprouted. Instead, they focus on the fundamental strength and potential of their investments over a longer time horizon.
As discussed in earlier posts, investing can be emotionally challenging, especially during periods of market turbulence. Having conviction provides emotional resilience and helps me stay calm and composed during market downturns. It allows me to avoid making impulsive decisions based on fear or short-term market (and hotcopper) noises. Building conviction requires patience and discipline or as I mentioned in
Post #: 61851029Grit. It involves conducting in-depth research, analyzing data, and understanding the underlying factors that contribute to an investment's potential. Due to my conviction I am willing to wait for my investment thesis to play out. At the same time my conviction offers me potentially higher returns as I have been averaging down. By identifying undervalued assets or emerging trends early on, investors with conviction may benefit from long-term growth and value creation. I am aware that the market can be unpredictable, and even the most well-reasoned convictions can sometimes be wrong and therefore I am being open to new information and adjust my strategy if necessary. So far, the only thing which could sway me is, if the science doesn't work, however everything points in the opposite direction.
However mine and others conviction in Mesoblast is not enough. The general market needs to share that conviction too for the price to move. For that we need positive results from clinical trials (check), favorable trial outcomes (check), regulatory approvals (hopefully soon), partnerships and collaborations (check), forming strategic partnerships or collaborations with established pharmaceutical companies or research institutions (check), reaching milestones (will come with approval), the presence of significant unmet medical need (check) as well as demonstrating differentiation and staying at the forefront of scientific progress can enhance a biotech company's reputation and generate positive sentiment among investors.
The night is always darkest just before the sun starts to rise. I am believing, that day brake is coming in the next few weeks and we will be enjoying a glorious day and no negative sound bites on HC is going to stand in front of the sun for me!
