The technique some like to use in here is called 'gaslighting' when they try to get you to doubt your own perceptions and experiences.
It takes some chutzpah to do that, but you have to laugh and walk away, which is what they are betting on.
But it's the last roll of the dice for them in terms of credibility with me.
