They would have to hit a huge unknown field extending well into AQX ground to have any real bargaining power one would imagine.
The only real benefit I can see is if NCM with an ageing Cadia operation wanted all of the ALK, MAG and AQX ground for future long term operations in the region?
Just checked the local weather forecast and think will go for a nice quiet drive in the bush on Wednesday to see if any activity visible from Gillinghall Road.
Not that it means much, but a working drill unit and a couple of piles of big green geo bags in close proximity to each other can be a promising sign.
In AQX case though it is only two holes I think? The more learned will correct me there.
Also I assume they are going an extra 200 metres down already capped old deep holes?
