Back to my conspiracy theory...here is my theory - all complete speculation made up in the back of my mind with no supporting material whatsoever...so its a fairytale...but hear me out
- Leak occurs on Thursday, person known to THR buys up, comparatively speaking, large parcel of shares between 1.4 and 1.7 cents...speculators the jump on pushing price up to 2 cents
- THR gets wind of insider buying up and panics, puts trading halt on shares then strategises as to how to get this idiot out of their potential mess.
- Decides to put rubbish announcement out as "no SP sensitivity information" to release, but will inform market on Monday
- Works feverishly over weekend on how to position announcement so market can only conclude share is a dud and sell out (while masking the selling out of the large parcel bought on Thursday - now sold at loss or break even and hence no appetite of ASIC to investigate)
- Leaves door open for another announcement over coming weeks, that confirms real reason for informed buying first up on Thursday
- SP rockets, but this time, without insider owning shares they bought pre announcement
- Everyone is happy....except people that got caught up in panic selling this morning.
