You completely miss the point (actually) points of a carbon tax.
Completely agree that with 1.5% of the total world emissions, reducing our rate won't stop global warming without input from the rest of the world.
But you neglect to consider the cost to convert to a lower carbon economy. The higher your rate PER CAPITA the higher the cost of that conversion.
It can't happen overnight and the longer you leave it, the bigger the impact.
See its simple not silly.
