Been using the hiv drug in combination with an anti malaria drug as standard treatment here in asia for a couple of months now...no waiting for trials, desperate times call for desperate measures, they just medicate and it works. Note : its a treatment that has risks, it is not a vaccine.
Sadly aust (along with the rest of the western world) didnt pull their heads out of the sand quick enough, hoping the momentum shift is not too late....
