There seems to be a drug called Entacapone used for treating Parkinson's because it's a very effective FTO inhibitor. As outlined in wombat's graphic above, FTO is involved with Parkinson's in some important way.
Given that it seems like FTO plays such an important role in many types of cancer, does anyone know why Entacapone has not been used for treating cancer? As far as I can tell there haven't even been any trials for this.
I haven't been able to find any information on how strong the FTO inhibiting effect of Entacapone is relative to bisantrene. Perhaps this is a reminder that the FTO inhibiting effect of bisantrene as shown by COH doesn't guarantee pillar 1 success?
