I remember as a kid how the rain seemed to be continuous during winter in Perth. Our classrooms had the smell of sodden wool jumpers and no heating while our teeth chattered. October would have a hot week to remind us to prepare for the onslaught of summer, especially February.
Now and again we would receive an "Indian Summer" shower in December and people would run from the surf to shelter from getting wet.
