Makes you wonder why they pay 6%+ on deposits when they can borrow so much cheaper?
Of course there's the exchange rate risk factor.
Most of the profit would be paid to the shareholders so you would imagine those bank shares would be riding high but in the current climate they are high risk, not the safe haven they once were.
