Who cares how many people are in London. The vast majority of our population is in 1 city per state. Whereas countries like the US have many more cities relative to us a number of which are un-employment wastelands such as Detroit. The other thing is Australia is still more focused on going outwards with our cities whereas we should be going upwards.

Home ownership in the modern Australian is still far more ingrained than any other western country. Many overseas countries a larger percentage of the population rents if they live in the cities. If you want to own you move to the outer suburbs or you move to one of the smaller satellite cities.
