While we’ve debottlenecked the processing plant and now have the potential to process up to 1.1 million tonnes per annum it’s clear that the mining operation can’t produce anywhere near this. IMO it’s clear that we’re going to fall significantly short of the 275,000 tonnes needed this Q for full capacity. Last Q we mined 153,754 tonnes. Of this 14,248 tonnes came from KOH meaning 139,506 tonnes came from Darlot, an increase of only 6,800 tonnes from last Q. KOH only produced 9%of the total tonnage last year. It will have to make a significantly larger contribution if we’re going to get anywhere capacity.
At the moment we’re pushing the limits of the plant because we have a 42,000 tonne stockpile. When this runs out, and it won’t be long if they keep up the rate at 20th April, we’ll be back to mining capacity of 1684 tonnes per day. My calcs say, at full processing capacity, the stockpile will be gone in 31 days from start of Q. Sometime in the next few days. And then the bottleneck continues.
