The article is spot-on - one does not have to be Einstein to work out the planned adventure in Iraq is naught to do with weapons of mass destruction -as I so eloquently pointed out in the pub last evening. It's purpose is to establish a base in that region -a domino development to progressively shut down the enemies of the USA -it's allies and our way of life and at the same time to build the US empire --the reluctant empire I think but what choice if someone is out to zap you first. And I know whose side I would prefer to be on as all this unfolds. Morally right or wrong -who knows -unfortunately we have passed the point of no return -any display of weakness now would send a clear signal to Mr Saddam and his Al Quaeda mates that the USA does not yet have the fortitude to pre-empt their evil plans.
