I don't think you understand the definition of a speculative stock... it has little to do with the market cap but with the risk involved. I'd say this stock is even riskier now it is worth $600m.. Institutional investors invest in 'speccys' all the time so don't assume it is now risk less because a few instos have bought in and could very well unload straight away for a quick profit.
If you are; which I really doubt; planning on buying 2mil shares (at current prices is over a $1mil) I'd be more wary of the risks. Its not smart to put all your eggs in one basket (especially if its your life savings, its actually idiotic)..
