Sarkozy said Gaddafi was a threat to the Western economies in proposing the gold dinar, his man made river project had the capacity to make Africa self sufficient in food and dropping world grain prices benefitting all except Western growers.
Last thing Western leaders wanted was its citizens to become aware of the benefits Libyans had under the Gaddafi Government.
