The Libs should have stick to their fiscal guns, and not acceded to any multi billion dollar promises until they attained power, so its affordability could be checked. Unfortunately, for them, and their supporters (and I am one of them) they are stuck with a load of fiscal promises passed on by the previous grossly irresponsible Labor Government, and the grossly unaffordable Maternity Leave election promise.
It's going to be a grind for the new Federal Government to reverse the previous Federal Government's fiscal ineptitude. And the Labor Party's 'ABC' cheer squad will not make it easy for them. But that's politics!
