A country with a diverse range of cultures is a country divided. If we were more evolved as a species, we could enjoy each others cultures and not be concerned about which is dominant. However that is not the reality. The reality is that each culture wants to dominate. Domination through numbers, through aquisition and allocation of resources, through the law. And it becomes a big problem. Diversity only creates ill feeling.
So rather than hope that everyone will get along, it's better to establish a single dominant culture for each country. Then anyone who visits that country must respect it, whether they like it or not. Like it used to be. If I visited an Arab country, I would observe local customs whether I agreed with them or not. I expect the same here. When in Rome.
