France has started 'for rent' PHEVs for city use. They are little three wheelers which you hire from Charging Stations, and return to Charging Stations.

Quote: In 1955 the Messerschmitt KR200 was introduced. Whilst externally it looked the same it was now powered by a 191cc Sachs engine that gave the car a top speed of 65 mph and a fuel consumption of 87 mpg.

Righto. Wtih a modern low emission ICE engine, (hydrogen powered) imagine how efficient that would be now. History normally repeats itself. This little device, would be much more practical than the little PHEV the French are making.

Once again; "I do not think thaat EVs are the end all and be all, for personal, optional, private transport." They are just another technology, which has its uses.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

    Regards....Marum.
