DJ Lihir Gold Says Oxygen Plant Problem Delays Full Startup
SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--Papua New Guinea-based Lihir Gold Ltd. (LHG.AU) said Tuesday
that full plant startup has been delayed by about 21 days due to a problem in the Linde
oxygen plant.
The company said the problem developed during the recommissioning of the processing
plant. It said two of the three autoclaves had been due to go back on line Tuesday, with
the third returning to operation on March 7.
"Partial production (approximately 20% of total capacity) will commence on Thursday,
4th March, employing the smaller Praxair oxygen plant," Lihir said.
