IMHO What's going to drive the stock is $$. If there are good enough results, they can reinstate the resource, build a preliminary mine plan, estimate future discounted cash flows, etc, and announce they're now planning to secure funding to build the mine within 18 months. That'll get the stock going.
Hard to see this happening with ARD atm though.
It looks like it'll be 1) and 2) as you've said.
