It's a long long time since I worked 9 to 5 but as I recall, that was a drag, especially the last hour or two. So I don't know about 10 hours for the average person. If you have a job you're dedicated to and holds your attention for that long, well that's another matter. But realistically, for most people a job is a job which they do because they have to.
