By-products. Lynas has commenced PRODUCTION of synthetic gypsum and aggregate co-products on-site. We have been waiting to hear this. Good news? No. Great news.
“Consistent with the ramp up of Rare Earths production at the LAMP, Lynas has now commenced production of synthetic gypsum and aggregate co-products on-site. The company has produced co-product samples for testing and market trials, which are necessary precursor for commercial off-takes”
Synthetic gypsum is very close to virgin gypsum extracted from gypsum mines. Manufacturers have reduced costs by switching over to synthetic gypsum and keeping their waste product out of landfills. Most manufacturers in Northern America use mostly synthetic gypsum.Gypsum Revenues >
