The broker will have a paper loss. MRM will not pay a break fee as they will see the Jaya deal through. The problem will be the size of the overhang the broker / underwriter has. They will be selling down in an automated fashion until they are comfortable with their level of holding. Whilst we have this overhang there will be little enthusiasm from buyers to chomp into the stock knowing there is an enthusiastic seller. As a buyer you just have to sit back and wait to get your optimum order filled.
