Turns out Van Eck announced last week that they would buy SLR this week.
They held off till today and that was the big volume of buying. Obviously some other instos taking advantage of the volume today to offload unwanted stock.
These are the same guys that announced they would sell IGR last year and caused a big volume day.
Nothing sinister about the volumes. Simply one insto buying a large parcel and others selling into it.
