100% agree! This is a great new law and one that clearly some business people don't yet understand. Employers CAN contact an employee outside of their std hours (ie to ask if they want to work an extra shift etc) but the employee has the right NOT to answer the call or respond. The employee also can't be grilled by the boss as to why they didn't respond.
Some bosses are great. Some employees will happily answer a call from the boss but there's plenty of employers who abuse their staff and treat them like slaves. Those employers think they OWN staff and they get off on a power trip for being "the boss"
A lot of business don't give a stuff about their employees, they just see $$ and treat staff like a commodity.
