The world moves on with fossil fuel alternatives but Australia doesn’t?
Australia squanders the opportunity and a natural advantage to transition from significant dependence on fossil fuels for national consumption and for export income?
To a degree you can see this already in public transport ... I took an XPT Sydney to Canberra recently ... XPT stands for express passenger train capable of 110 km/hr but travels sub 90km/hr because the train lurches on poorly aligned track in carriages of 70’s-80’s design ... compare that to the fast and very fast trains of Europe, Japan, Korea and China (200-400+ km/hr in smooth comfort), in China’s case pretty much achieved over the past decade.
Australia can do better in energy, public transport and other infrastructure, creating jobs for innovators, planners, sciences, manufacturing and agriculture whilst improving liveability and wellness.
