Nice finds on the road works!

With respect to power, there is some significant power line expansion occurring due to the ever present shortage of electricity in the copper-cobalt mining region. Additional with expansions of the Inga hydro dams in the west, the lines to the economically vital mining regions are always looking for upgrades. Looking at the planned infrastructure projects in the map below shows Manono getting connected to the main transmission lines feeding the mining south (source), namely the Inga-Kolwezi high voltage DC link, which was upgrade to from 560MW to over 1000MW in 2017. No idea on the SNEL documents that this map was built from.
