Totally agree Dr. The amount of new infrastructure required for the moving of material out by barge would be minimal. Pushing out 5000 tonnes of concentrate per week really isn't that much in 'mining volume'
Whilst considering that, that 45km stretch of road is listed as being in good condition...the river is already there and certainly large enough to accommodate the barge size and then a rail line heading both directions at the end of the barging point at Kabalo. It certainly is a stroke of luck that that track , the river ( thanks mother nature ) and the rail line at the the end of the barge point are already in place.
I'd like to a holding shed built down at the riverside feeding out onto a a conveyor / surge bin system to load the barge. I think this route provides for the greatest output volume; the loaded barges would also be flowing with current which is always good
