A few people have already pointed this out without explicitly stating it, but:10Mtpa plant = 2.2Mtpa concentrate. 2t bags = 3014 bags/day.
Is that viable? Not at the moment, according to Nigel. That's why (last I heard) he was talking about a 5Mtpa plant and gradually ramping up to ~1500 bags/day, which is still 1.05 bags per minute.
With the expanded met test-work also due this quarter, it's worth reminding that these scoping studies are based on a 5.8% concentrate.
At the standard US$15/t per 0.1% increment, AVZ's 60% stake would be worth an additional US$9.9mpa per 0.1% increment for a 5Mtpa operation.
Initial met tests showed Manono could produce a 6.3% concentrate using standard methods, which would be an additional ~US$50m EBITDA each year for AVZ.
