Wow,
It took you 4 individual posts to try and get your point across that CREC 7 are essentially bad guys who impose tolls on inadequate roads that they build and don't maintain?
As usual, the devil is in the detail and regarding this isolated incident a CREC 7 spokesperson had this to say;
"The Kalamba-Mbuji road was built to open up the Kasai region. CREC 7 built a road that didn’t exist before and financed it with its own means. Neither the central nor provincial government put money toward the project.In 2018, when the dirt road was finished, Governor Denis Kambayi initially wanted to put in a toll booth without giving CREC 7 any of the revenues. That’s why the road is in such a poor condition. The provincial authorities took over a road that they didn’t have the means to maintain.We came to an agreement with the province last October. We were allowed to set up a toll booth to earn back the money we had put into the road. We've since been taking care of the road and are working to repair the damaged bridge."https://observers.france24.com/en/20190422-congo-chinese-company-toll-boothSo, essentially it was a local governor who wanted to take over the road and put in a toll booth without giving CREC 7 any of the revenues. So CREC 7 turned around and said to the governor...
If you're going to impose a toll on a road that you didn't contribute to, then either you pay us revenue for maintaining the road or you can maintain the road yourself.That is why the road
was in such poor condition at the time and your attempt to insinuate that CREC 7 was the culprit is entirely misleading.
Now also ask yourself
@Sjlasx , where billions in revenue is likely be generated for all stakeholders (including but not limited to the DRC government, Chinese construction companies, local villages and transport companies) do you honestly believe that a local governor (especially one with no money) could successfully prevent progress of such magnitude?
Hint: Is it currently an issue for Glencore and Ivanhoe to the point where it has halted progress and revenue? IMO it would be like the smallest kid at school shouting to a group of much bigger and aggressive kids....
Alright, this is my playground so everybody out! In summary, if you're going to attempt a negative spin on the perceived challenges to AVZ (possibly because you believe that the monster homogenous resource at Manono is a major threat to your other Lithium stock holdings) then at least try to do so based on
all of the facts.
