In regards to the proposed mega dam, the relocation isn't the end of the world. Yes, an environmental study should be done and will likely be playing catch up as this is done in stages but a lack of electricity actually kills people. So I'm all for it and pulling Africa into the modern world. 40GW is also a LOT of coal that doesn't have to be burned. Finally, 35,000 people properly compensated pales in comparison to the Chinese three Gorges Dam where 1.25 million people were relocated with around 1500 villages and towns flooded.
