When it's all said and done, the one thing we will remain eternally indebted to Rudd for is the simple fact that he sent Johnny packing, not only out of Kirribilli, but out of Bennelong as well. The GFC almost fades into insignificance when compared with that noble feat. Finally we were able to begin the process of rehabilitation.
Despite any economic hardships which we are forced to endure because of unprecedented global financial problems, Australia is beginning to regain some of its lost soul and so I will always be thankful to Rudd for that.
I, too, suspect the government has erred with this $42b stimulus package, but only time will tell......and in some ways it could be argued that time may never tell.
