This saga was very significant in the downfall of the Morrison government. Would the current government have been elected (albeit in coalition with the Greens) if it were not for the "stench" created by this?
The Press is not prosecuting this issue as it should. If the roles were reversed, this would have been reported widely, even on the ABC. The Press has an obligation to expose corruption. Our Democracy depends on it. Every time the cosy duopoly between the Left and the Press suppresses an inconvenient truth, our Democracy is damaged.
