The report by Barry Fitzgerald in the Australian 03/07/2012 notes that Xstrata were exercising their option for the Roseby-Littie Eva project with Altona........demonstrates a willingness to secure more resources in deals with juniors.
Combine this with the Glencore/Xstrata merger we have a big player willing to put up the money. Xstrata have the processes in place inErnest Henry and will want to maximise their investment by securing as much proven ore that is in the close proximity.
That is the reason that the MEP team are going flat out at the Cloncurry tenaments that are adjacent to Ernest Henry... and don't forget Eloise as well. It is also the reason that I am punting on this being the next major exploration to be sold.
