Another way the Company might be looking at their partnership with Atari could be that they expect a percentage of the consumers participating in The Sandbox will be on a social/collectible level and may not even want to play the games...
Through the use of digital certificates (NFT’s) there could be a large number of Atari fanatics that will want to simply own, trade and collect the digital assets!
Later this year they are suppose to release 2 Atari Blockchain based games. (The Goon Squad & Roller Coaster Tycoon)
Atari has also partnered with a gaming Company and is going to market their own private labeled gaming token similar to the use of The Sand token being used inside The Sandbox.
Such a early stage and it is so difficult to envision all of the potential use cases outside of traditional gaming as it has existed prior to the introduction of The Blockchain.
When Square Enix enters The Sandbox, it will probably be a WHOPPER!
