Fiscally sound - for who?? 7 out of 8 media commentators are Labor voters - coincidence?
The beneficiaries of a Budget like this are those that record their job title as "Unemployed". Too many families are housing multiple generations of guarded welfare recipients.
I applaud the tax grabs on smokes, grog and yes, mining - but I am abjectly against sponsoring those that have no ambition to get off welfare.
There is NOTHING in the budget for the long term, not a single item. Where is the 2020 strategy spruiked as a must have?
We are in defecit by $40B - what do we have to show for it?
Whichever party can demonstrate they have a real and costed option for the long term future of the country (water, power, community, population, resources) will get my vote.
