    The claims are inadequate, making it very difficult to study, test or confirm what the person is claiming or experiencing.

    Look at the Eben Alexander case, a neuroscientist describing his near death experience, presumably a reliable observer and claimant, a perfect case you'd think....yet those who did dig a little deeper than surface appearance found not only inconsistencies but strong hints of dishonesty.

    Of course, not all NDE's are false claims, there is a phenomena being experienced by some but not all who have had close brush with death. but how or why this happens to some has yet to be determined.
