I personally take the view of scepticism with all companies announcements.
It's not that they are stating 'facts' it's just that how things are worded are designed to be read a certain way. This is even more true if coupled with your own monetary interest.
When I was first in the market I invested in several companies with pie in the sky potential, whose announcement had great promise etc. I've learnt this lesson the hard way, read every announcement as if it's worded in the most optimistic way, then look at how to prove the contents in an objective and realistic way. It will save you money.
