i've witnessed them in action and it wasn't against foreign forces but executing drug dealers. one i saw with my own eyes and another time we were told to leave the area and heard the gunshots.
i always thought they claim to be the army of the people. thats why they have these areas of so called protection. mind you i have never been on their website.

i'm under no illusion as to the problems that tampakan will face. personally i will be out once the next offer is tabled. i rode it from low 20's to the 1.20's but this time i'll be happy with 60-70c. not interested in holding longterm.
