re: tevet My " best take " on Tevet if they have completed the initial interpretation of logs wirelines et al would be for a trading halt on Monday close ,or Tuesday before market open for the weekly WPL announcement.

I agree with most posters that we are seeing money coming out of most energy stocks.
HDR is not alone, but I also I do not think a gas hit at Tevet deep will set the price on fire.
Market sentiment today is bigger than HDR.
Oil would be nice as it proves the cretaceous as was pointed out to me by a largish holder this morning.

I think some of the uncertainty may be attributable to Tiof commerciality.
I understand that WPL have no obligation for a 2008 start up.
It all makes sense for HDR/ROC as they need and want the revenues, but WPL are not as financially dependent on Mauritania.

Costs in dollar terms chasing expensive spaghetti geology rather than scooping oil out of a Chinguetti bathtub fits WPL's conservative nature.

WPL are in Mauritania for the long haul.
    Relinquishment would be a factor.
They will probably spend money drilling and gaining the best ground, and leaving Tiof for a later start up 2010 when Ching/Banda fairways have wound down.

It sure is a tough one.

    Happy trails amigos.
