imo the Right aren't sensible, neither are the Left.
sensible takes into account the views of both sides and all that in between the dichotomy. this way "sensible" can take the best from all opinions and consider the unsubstantiated as only opinion. capitalism is correct but needs social values to ensure capitalism is sustainable. socialism too is correct but needs capitalism for the same reasons.
its balance that is sensible, not the absurd and exclusive extremes.
now you're addressing, I take it, the increased right wingtipper numbers in the EU parliament. like all democracy there are swings and roundabouts. the result doesn't infer the right is taking over.... too great a risk of fascism. EU democracy will ensure the balance.
as I gather though the only reason the right have won more seats is the use of immigration as the key trigger for support. pandering to social anxiety and fear of the "other". this will backfire in a few years as theres nothing they can do that will stop people migrating. EU sets up a honey trap that invites the worlds poorest people to come looking for wealth and a better standard of living. Same with the US.
if migration is to be stopped the world must ensure that African nations develop their economies faster and better to raise the standard of living. this way people will be more content to remain in their home country.
