Makes sense to send the first ship of E25 manganese ore to OMH's Chinese smelter in Qinzhou. They've recently upgrade the smelter, and they only produce manganese alloys at that plant. ( mostly HC FeMn) OMH also has a manganese sintering plant at Qinzhou, whereas in Sarawak the sintering plant although complete still has to be fully commissioned and Covid-19 has slowed down the process.
I feel sure the E25 manganese ore will be well accepted and of good quality. Qinzhou could most likely take all E25 production at this stage. OM Sarawak is expanding its manganese alloy production from 6 to 8 furnaces which gives the capability of 350,000 tonnes annually requiring some 700,000 tonnes of Mn ore. ( depending on which alloy is produced).
