    It's always the perennial moral issue isn't it . Am I my brother's keeper ?

    In the pursuit of our own rights and freedoms we can often lose sight of the rights and needs of others.

    My personal view is that this country is far better off keeping out any immigrants of the muslim faith , illegal or otherwise ,because the overwhelming evidence is that any country that hasn't exercised stringent restrictions has suffered immeasurable consequences.

    I know that doesn't sit well with many people ,it doesn't really sit well with me , but the world is what it is .

    But that aside it doesn't mean that we don't have moral obligations towards those who are trying to get here or who are imprisoned in the pursuit of such . So it's very important that these people are given the normal rights one would expect from a civilised country . I really hope that that is happening in Nauru
