Ah mate, I too followed up the Lasseter legend - probably read that book. But it was Ion Idriess which really got my hots up. Will have the Idriess book somewhere - along with his "Prospecting For Gold" and hopefully his "Cyanideing For Gold" which is the classic old prospector book - worth $250.00 on eBay if you have a copy.
And they say Idriess wrote the book on love, but I never got my hands on it.
WOW - just googled it - up to 2150 pounds for a good copy. He also wrote "the Desert Column" and "To Beersheba"
