    Great book. Loved it.

The titanic theme was playing when I saw that news "COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Shipping group A.P. Moller-Maersk, reported a steep drop in third-quarter profit and revenue on Friday and said it would cut at least 10,000 jobs in the face of overcapacity, rising costs and weaker prices, sending its shares tumbling."

FLOW ON? Where shipping goes manufacturing, exports and imports............ Who, When, where and how long are the questions of course.

Shipping News of course was a bit bleak in recounting the collapse of the Cod fishing in North America "The Northwest Atlantic cod stocks collapsed in the early 1990s and have yet to recover, despite the subsequent establishment of a continuing fishing moratorium. Efforts to understand the collapse and lack of recovery have so far focused mainly on the dynamics of commercially harvested species."

Interesting study in itself! It was and is still being studied Signatures of the collapse and incipient recovery of an overexploited marine ecosystem | Royal Society Open Science (royalsocietypublishing.org)
