As a percentage of market capitalisation.
So let's say last week we were at $2.40, this was an approx. market cap of $1,087M.
At 12.3% short gives me $133M shorts.
And now, we have a share price of $1.97 and market cap of $893M.
At 13.&% short gives me $122M shorts.
Looks to me as though shorts actually reduced even though the percentage of market cap rose.
Hard to find accurate reporting these days!
