ASM demerged from ALK, so many ASM shareholders hold both. I'm not going to speculate as to why IG wants control of ASM (although it's pretty obvious IMO), however the resolution at the latest AGM aimed at preventing a takeover strongly suggests he wants, and intends to keep, control of ASM.
