I think u right to expect short to bounce back to 5 mill tomorrow.
one simple explanation could be, as Instos have to self report daily their short position, possibly the person whose role it is to report had a sicky and no one else sent the report to asx.
it is the second time in a couple of weeks that the the total position has dropped by 1.4 million though. Same company?
not saying this is what happened, but sometimes the simplest explanation…….
